August 5 2026 Development Highlights
Bug squashing & polish
Our team closed 81 reported bugs today, and we completed a sweep of all 1,642 creature models to fix click‑area mismatches. 49 models were corrected, eliminating cases where bosses only registered hits on a fraction of their bodies (up to 30 % on some elementals) and fixing smaller foes like kobolds, daemons, and Krang.
Guild Wars scheduling
Guild wars can now be scheduled by declaring a battle on Tuesday and fighting it on Saturday. The server has supported this flow from day one; the client simply needed the trigger to send the schedule request.
Achievements finally visible
After a decade of being hidden, the Steam‑connected achievement system is now front‑and‑center. The 16th proposal page (Achievements) adds a journal entry, toast notifications, party‑shared boss credit, a World Events channel, shard‑wide celebrations, a trophy quartermaster, and a catalog of the first 115 achievements. Every unlock now flashes a banner, posts a chat line, plays a sound, and triggers the level‑up lights.
Player dungeons get maps, scores & limits
Live 3D map – Press M to see a live model of the rooms you placed, your position, floor layers, and any disconnected sections.
Score plaque – Dungeons now display an entrance plaque showing total visits, the permanent First Clear, and the best clear time. The clear‑check data is published on the Mario‑Maker‑style model.
Point budget enforcement – The server now validates each new room against the dungeon point limit. Existing legacy dungeons keep their current layout but cannot exceed the budget any further (see proposal S8).
Town Console rollout
The top‑voted “towns” card (proposal S7) ships today as the Town Console, consolidating the entire governor job into a single window using only existing game operations.
Lighting customization
All placed lamps now have Light Settings: you can choose color, reach, and brightness, preview the effect live, and save it for everyone on the lot.
PvP deep‑dive published
We released a comprehensive PvP proposal set (27 cards covering kill feeds, permanent records, scheduled battles, stake tiers at the Oracle statue, bountles, and seasons). All cards are open for votes and comments at the PvP proposals page.
Work‑log narration
The New Britannia Herald now reads the daily work log aloud in the Lord British voice. A full transcript and podcast feed are available at /blog/podcast.xml; the first episode covers yesterday’s development.
These updates should be noticeable immediately—whether you’re planning a guild war, polishing your personal dungeon, or finally seeing that long‑awaited achievement toast. Enjoy the new tools, and keep the feedback coming!
