New Fixes, Features, and Smoother Adventures in Shroud of the Avatar
Today’s update brings a wave of quality-of-life improvements and long-awaited fixes that make your adventures in Shroud of the Avatar more seamless and immersive.
We’ve addressed a few quirky moments from the world: a siege boss who was stuck inside a stone shrine—now he settles properly on clear ground nearby. A Cabalist accidentally being attacked by their own army has also been resolved, thanks to better faction handling during sieges.
The loading screen is now more transparent and engaging, showing real-time progress and rotating fun in-world snippets like “Feeding the dragons” and “Filing the lot deeds.” Plus, a long-missing “Move House” button now gives clear feedback with /verbose housing, and we’ve fixed an error that inflated building sizes due to navigation helpers being counted in the measurement—your Roman temple is now the correct size.
Pets are now much more reliable: 71 pets, summons, and companions now run at top speed (7 m/s), keeping up with your sprint. Buffs on pets now survive zone lines, so your fed-up, two-hour buffed sheep won’t lose its boost when you cross into a new scene. And summons? They travel with you between zones just like tamed pets, keeping their wounds and buffs—though now they cost focus, just like pets.
Housing is getting smarter too: houses that were moved can now be reset to their original position with a new button on the lot sign. Town management has been streamlined—governors, size, and all town roles are now editable directly in one dev-portal panel, no rebuild needed.
The Oracle now shares deeper lore, explaining the Virtues, Devotionals, and Cabalists in a new guide. And for storytellers, the book system has grown up: formatting tools, live preview, new fonts, bookmarks, 3D book views, and even audio reading for all lore books.
Finally, the Magic Mirror, lunar rift, and Boat to Novia rowboat are fully interactive again—your journey across the Isle of Storms continues without glitches.
