New Fixes and Improvements for Your Shroud Experience
We’ve been busy behind the scenes today, and the results are already making your game smoother and more reliable. Here’s what’s new:
Pets and creatures in Duanor and Jade Valley now respect the boundaries of houses—no more walking through walls or furniture. We’ve refined how decoration placement works to ensure only fitting items are placed, keeping your world looking just right.
The long-standing delay when equipping Avatars is gone—what used to take up to 38 seconds now loads in just 69 milliseconds at startup. That means faster transitions and less waiting when you switch characters.
We’ve also squashed a sneaky bug that was causing players to lose visibility of creatures and townsfolk after a session. A client-side spawn queue issue has been fixed, and a few related memory leaks have been resolved, so NPCs now stay where they should.
The nightly release pipeline is now rock-solid. A misconfigured helper file had been causing daily failures, but it’s been fixed, with new safeguards and a full log of past issues to keep things transparent.
You can now whisper AFK players, and they’ll be informed of your message. The /afk command now accepts a custom away message, so your friends know why you’re offline.
In the Cabalist Stronghold, a bug was sending visitors into random town scenarios—now fixed, along with a celebration that was accidentally expiring too soon. Also, siege healing for Cabalists has been corrected, so full health can’t be regained just by leaving.
Lot deeds are now upgradeable without losing your house or possessions—just pick a better deed at the lot sign, and everything stays in place.
Player vendors now support individual sales—you can list 1,000 potions and sell them in smaller batches, like five or ten at a time.
Finally, we’ve tightened up the release system to prevent duplicate build numbers, which previously caused login issues for testers. The pipeline is now more secure and reliable.
Thanks for your patience—these changes are all about making your journey in Shroud smoother, fairer, and more fun.
