Town Sieges Return, Castle Atos Finds Its Voice, and the Seas Come Alive
Offline single-player players have a reason to celebrate: town sieges are working again. Meanwhile, the fishing community gets four new catches—the Texas Cichlid, Saithe, Giant Trevally and Golden Trevally—and small-game hunters can now chase their own Bestiary achievements, with Rabbit Hunter and Squirrel Hunter titles awaiting anyone who reaches 100 kills.
Castle Atos Speaks
The big storytelling news is at Castle Atos, which now has 803 new voiced lines. The residents and their eight quest lines are voiced, along with Radka and the bargehands on the East Perennial Trail, and the Corrupted Overseer. If you've been meaning to visit, there's never been a better time to listen.
Life on the Water
Sailing and ship combat saw a lot of attention. The cannon now aims like a telescope and its ball flies a visible arc, with damage floating over the ship on every hit. Players can mount a Ship's Cannon on a rail and fire it under sail—and it crosses zones with the crew, returning to its owner if the ship is lost. Town sailing now reaches the edge of town, and the helm stays in the helmsman's hands at the harbour mouth. A ship's whole crew now crosses between zones together, on the same ship with the same hull damage. Boats also finally sound like boats: hull wash, lapping water, creaking timbers, bow slaps, snapping sails, and wind for anyone aboard.
Highvale Outskirts and Quality of Life
Highvale Outskirts gained the Fish for the Refugees quest, more signs along the road to Resolute, and quest marks on the camp's helpers. Behind the scenes, two new commit checks guard translation files after merges and stop quest keyword ids from being mistaken for bug numbers. The launcher now explains in plain words when it can't reach the servers, offers a Try again button, and recovers on its own when the connection returns. Finally, every player dungeon room, recipe and blueprint now follows one naming pattern across all nine languages—a tidy change that should make searching and sorting much easier.
