New Features, Fixes, and World Updates for October 18

By admin · 10/19/2026

Today brought a wave of updates that enhance both the world of Shroud of the Avatar and the tools players use to connect with their communities. With every translated client now fully updated, nearly 2,100 lines of text now appear in all nine supported languages—making the game more accessible than ever.

In combat, the Lamech’s Bazaar pirates have gotten a serious upgrade: the new Crystal Mirror can reflect direct attacks back at the attacker’s entire party, and Privateers now wield the powerful Cutlass Sweep. Meanwhile, the Zombie boss trio—Myrkdraugr, Hollowmaw, and Charnel Glutton—now reward players with portrait trophies upon defeat, while their lairs now bubble and smoke, bringing a more immersive atmosphere to the Charnel Pits.

On the social side, the Guild and Town Desk is now fully live. It functions like a painted desktop, with members’ notes, a dedicated chat window, and full access to the new calendar—now featuring both week and month views. Officers can approve event proposals, and the World Calendar now shares space with local events. Two new mini-games, Flappy Bat and Hungry Wyvern, are also available, showcasing each guild or town’s top ten runs.

The world boss experience has also evolved: three new leaderboards track boss kills, fastest kill times, and personal bests for every player—adding new goals and recognition for top players.

Subscribers now have full access to the website’s new features, including the Oracle tool, which can be opened directly from the desk and used to report site issues. The Tavern Trivia quiz is also ready to go, with 500 questions about Shroud of the Avatar and another 500 on Ultima and Ultima Online—perfect for trivia nights.

Finally, Build 325 on Chaos brings several quality-of-life improvements: fishing art is now complete, players can copy their inventory for offline play, Favorites are now supported, and Ingot Molds can stack. Deck folders have also been added for better organization.

All these changes are live on both the launcher and Steam.
