New Offline Play, Smoother Vendors, and a Chatty Oracle

By admin · 9/18/2026

We’ve brought back offline single-player mode—now you can dive into Shroud of the Avatar without needing an account, password, or internet connection. The long-standing issue that left the zone load bar stuck near completion is finally fixed, and now every step of the loading process is clearly reported so you’ll never wonder what the game is doing.

Vendors now speak! Open a player vendor, and it greets you with a voice that matches its model. Close the window, and it says goodbye—adding a little personality to your marketplace interactions. Vendor sales are now tracked more meaningfully: the /mysales command now groups items by book, showing total copies sold and gold earned, so you can better track your profits. And when buying from a vendor with a buy order, you can now fill multiple items at once—sell 3 into an order for 1,000, and the remaining 997 stay waiting, making bulk trading smoother than ever.

On the technical side, Mac players no longer face duplicate downloads since September 15th. We’ve also added four new build validation checks to catch issues early. The Universe Chat is now live—global messages from the dev portal appear in-game as Herald messages, keeping you in the loop.

The Options menu now has an All tab, where every setting is listed in one place, searchable without switching tabs. And the in-game Oracle has been reimagined as your new help button: click the question mark in the top-right corner to open it, and use the new Clear button to start fresh. It can even tell you exactly where to buy any item—360 shopkeepers across 64 towns, searchable by item, town, or vendor.

Finally, the last Perforce import is complete, and we caught a sneaky bug that would have hidden 22 decorative surfaces in player dungeons—now they’re all visible again.
