August 6 2026 – Guild, Dungeon, and Quality‑of‑Life Updates
A busy day of polishing and new tools landed in the world of Shroud of the Avatar. Here’s what players will notice when they log in.
Guilds get a boost
The long‑awaited guild proposals for Seasons 4 and 5 are now live. The Message of the Day has become its own permission with an editor, letting guild leaders craft daily announcements without extra steps. When a guild war ends, the result—win, loss, or draw—is announced automatically, giving everyone a clear wrap‑up.
We also rolled out the Guild Finder. Players can browse recruiting guilds, send a custom message, and have officers accept applications at their convenience, even while offline. This should make joining the right community easier than ever.
Dungeon building made richer
The old “dungeon piece” window has grown into a full Dungeon Builder panel. From the HUD you can now see a room list with floor level, point cost, connectivity to the foyer, and any totem spawns. The generator chest now works in reverse: close it and all rooms (including furniture) return to the chest, ready for a fresh layout.
A brand‑new Guides section launched on the website, starting with a fifteen‑part manual that walks builders through points, foyers, doorway rules, totems, the generator chest, and publishing dungeons.
Creatures and combat tweaks
Seven monsters that previously never used their enrage abilities have been fixed. The Polar Mutilator now escalates twice on its way down, the Obsidian Eye casters finally enrage, and both Spider Queens receive their missing second stage. Expect more dynamic fights against these foes.
Economy insight
The “Unread Ledger” reveals that gold and Crowns of the Obsidians have been tracked as a single system for years. With 34 proposals already recorded, we now have a full picture of every gold event—information we’ll be sharing soon.
New commands and town tools
/verbose petexplains why a pet won’t attack, and/verbose aggroshows threat numbers over pets and targets./townslists all 435 player‑owned towns with biome, size tier, map location, and activity level; you can sort, search, and jump to a town on the world map.The Town Console’s lot table now supports multi‑select, letting you reserve or open many lots with a single click.
Tester tools & bug squashing
Testers received /tweak, an in‑game browser for adjusting gameplay numbers on the fly (e.g., pet leash range). Finally, the team closed 19 reported bugs, tightening up the overall experience.
