July Bounty Roundup: A Month of Monster Hunting!
July was a busy month for bounty hunters across New Britannia! With thirteen bounties running simultaneously from July 4th to the 25th, players had their work cut out for them – and many rose to the challenge. Overall, the community logged incredible numbers across all fronts, proving once again that when a reward is offered, our hunters deliver. A huge thank you to all who participated!
Let’s break down each event and celebrate those top performers.
First up was Banamathr, the great dragon of Ulfheim! Sponsored by By Tor, this high-stakes bounty called for facing off against a formidable foe. Ceal Astra soared to victory with an impressive 136 kills, claiming the 5,000 COTO first prize. Azurion Dufresne took second place with 82 kills and Sammi rounded out the top three with 17. Eleven hunters combined for a total of 254 Banamathr takedowns!
Next, we had Blind Bounty 2 from Janie Murphy (sponsored by Janzik). The mystery target was finally revealed – and it seems many were successful in hunting something down! DrQK absolutely dominated this bounty with a staggering 8,824 kills. ButterTango secured second place with 2,295 kills, followed by Janzik himself at 2,229. A remarkable 20,619 combined kills across 26 hunters shows the dedication of our community!
Aether Dragon, also sponsored by Janzik, saw Mandalar leading the charge with 58 kills, earning them first prize. Ceal Astra once again proved their skills with a close second at 49 kills, and KnightRider completed the top three with 14. Eleven hunters contributed to a total of 141 Aether Dragon eliminations.
The bugs were out in force for Aether Corpions (sponsored by Janzik), and KnightRider was there to meet them head-on, racking up 211 kills for the win! Azurion Dufresne came in second with 188 and Eidsyas Nomis finished third with 81. Thirteen hunters collectively took down 520 of these pesky creatures.
Any Atavist, sponsored by Zealot, saw Karoth Almanar leading the charge with a phenomenal 765 kills! Hemnu Lightbringer claimed second place with 308, and Etos Verisimilis secured third with 41. A total of 1,161 Atavists fell to eight dedicated hunters.
The PvP scene was hot with Aether Liches in the Fall PVP (sponsored by Vesper). Rieko Rizika topped the leaderboard with 77 kills and took home the generous 5,000 COTO prize! Claire Huxley finished second with 45 kills while Vesper secured third place with 33. Ten hunters combined for a total of 239 liche casualties.
Skeleton season was in full swing during Any Skeleton except in Control Points (sponsored by Zealot), and Fifi Brindacie reigned supreme with an astonishing 6,377 kills! Scela Scurza followed closely behind at 2,931 and Maxim Damage secured third with 2,303. An incredible 26,207 skeletons were felled by a whopping 102 hunters!
Lich hunting continued in Any Lich except in Control Points (sponsored by Zealot), where Maponis Eastcoast claimed victory with 8,627 kills. Scela Scurza was close behind with 6,660 and Janzik took third place with 6,340. Sixty hunters combined for a massive 31,400 liche takedowns!
The barbarians weren't safe either during The barbarians of Jotungrund! (sponsored by Zealot), where PoPo QiQi led the charge with 906 kills. Azurion Dufresne came in second place with 254 and Ceal Astra completed the top three with 97. Eight hunters combined to eliminate 1,368 barbarians.
Vikland was the battleground for Any mob in Vikland! (sponsored by Zealot), where PoPo QiQi once again emerged victorious with a staggering 4,483 kills. Hex secured second place with 3,183 and TheExtreme finished third with 2,937. Twenty-eight hunters combined for an impressive 15,787 kills!
Wyvern hunting was the focus of The wyverns in the Ruins of Utheim (sponsored by Zealot), where PoPo QiQi continued their winning streak with a decisive 65 kills. Joe came in second with 23 and Smegatron finished third with 7. Seven hunters combined for a total of 100 wyvern eliminations.
Obsidian Witch, sponsored by Eidsyas Nomis, saw PoPo QiQi taking home the win again, this time with 121 kills! Hex secured second place with 89 and TheExtreme finished third with 59. Nine hunters combined for a total of 280 Obsidian Witch takedowns.
Finally, Elrin Nayer on Penwar Island (sponsored by Jade, Onyx and EVL) saw KnightRider emerge victorious with 430 kills. Karrin Murphy came in second place with 390 and Hex finished third with 64. Nine hunters combined for a total of 900 Elrin Nayer takedowns!
