New Features & Fixes: Smoother Guilds, Faster Dungeons, and a New Stronghold

By admin · 9/14/2026

Today brought a wave of improvements that make the world of Shroud of the Avatar feel more connected, responsive, and alive. Guild and town leaders can now sync their in-game activity—new threads, events, and chat—directly to a Discord channel they own, with a new dashboard and sign-out-everywhere feature making management easier than ever. A major dungeon loading fix means no more 50-second freezes when entering player dungeons, thanks to smarter scene scanning.

We’ve also resolved a long-standing crash issue tied to arrow keys and number inputs—now every text field works safely, ensuring your gameplay stays smooth. Control point waves now count correctly, and Superstition Canyon now joins the ranks of points with endless waves, making for more persistent challenges.

Animal Lore now has real-world impact: study a beast in the wild, and you’ll find it slightly easier to tame for the next five minutes—up to 10% more success depending on what you learned.

Chat item links now work properly across all servers, showing the full, accurate item tooltip from the server instead of just text. And soon, player towns will get their own dedicated chat channel—residents can join from anywhere with /town, and only town members will hear it.

The website’s guild and town management tools are now fully functional behind the scenes, with all changes—ranks, roles, removals—synchronized securely with your in-game permissions. The tabard crash has been fixed by reorganizing how scripts and prefabs are bundled, and the build system now checks this automatically.

Seven previously stranded fixes have finally landed, covering everything from dungeon exit markers to fish recipe counts and bench collisions. And the new Cabalist Stronghold—a dramatic hex east of the Obsidian Trial—has been built and is ready for players to explore. It’s a haunting scene where fallen Cabalists await their master Vitium, the Hollow Eye, whose defeat triggers a shard-wide celebration.

Finally, all updates now roll out exclusively from the CDN, with the origin server no longer a fallback—ensuring faster, more reliable patches.
